Ping spent the middle stage of her life in comfort, living with her good friend, Emporer Liu Che. But after her charge, the baby dragon Long Kai being attacked by a necromancer working for the Emporer, She realised that it was important to stay away from humans.

So Ping sent most of her life living rough and caring for Kai. She fought her way through many dangers and Kai grew up to be a healthy young dragon, until Ping had to leave him and accept her own fate.
